Natural Resource Services

ALTEC provides a variety of Natural Resource services to suit our client’s needs. Our professional staff has experience in providing Wetland Delineations, Natural Resource Permitting and Compliance (USACE, USFWS, EPA, FERC, DEQ, DNR, etc.) as well as Wildlife Assessments, Compensatory Wetland Mitigation, Mitigation Banking, NEPA Evaluations, and Habitat Assessments throughout the Southeast and Midwest. ALTEC has developed a network of working relationships with State and Federal regulators which allows us to quickly and efficiently provide resolution for our clients. Our team of scientists and engineers assist our clients in navigating the complex regulatory requirements to meet project goals, deadlines, and budgets while managing and conserving our natural resources.

ALTEC utilizes the latest technologies, such as GPS and GIS to map the extent of natural resources identified during our investigations. ALTEC utilizes these technologies to accurately assess impacts to natural resources during the permitting process. This approach allows our clients to avoid/minimize impacts to natural resources thereby reducing the over-all cost of mitigation required to permit and complete the project.

ALTEC professionals are experienced in the preparation of NEPA evaluations for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. ALTEC can provide NEPA documentation and environmental checklists for state and federally funded projects and for grant applications for community development projects. ALTEC’s NEPA-related services include preparation of checklists for initial project studies, impact analysis, and completion of Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) documents.
