ALTEC performs area monitoring for the evaluation of engineering controls, and personnel exposure (breathing zone) monitoring to determine personnel exposure to air contaminants. Our staff can develop suitable sampling strategies to ensure appropriate hazards are investigated.

ALTEC will ensure that NIOSH or OSHA validated methods for air sampling and only AIHA-accredited laboratories for completion of analyses are utilized.

ALTEC has conducted surveys for numerous organic and particulate compounds for compliance with OSHA chemical-specific standards, OSHA permissible exposure limits and American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) recommended threshold limit values in various heavy to light industry or manufacturing settings.

ALTEC's Industrial Hygienists can then evaluate air monitoring results based on the toxicity of the contaminant to determine the degree of hazard to personnel.
