Personnel/Employee Exposure Monitoring - Chemical Risk Assessments
ALTEC performs area monitoring for the evaluation of engineering controls, and personal exposure (breathing zone) monitoring to determine personal exposure to air contaminants. Our staff can develop suitable sampling strategies to ensure appropriate hazards are investigated.
ALTEC utilizes only American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) certified laboratories to ensure that NIOSH and OSHA validated methods are used for completion of analyses.
ALTEC has experience conducting surveys for numerous organic and particulate compounds for compliance with OSHA chemical-specific standards, OSHA permissible exposure limits and American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) recommended threshold limit values in various heavy to light industrial or manufacturing settings.
ALTEC's Industrial Hygiene professionals evaluate collected data and sampling results based on the toxicity of the contaminant and comparison to applicable guidelines to determine the degree of hazard to personnel, and to advise clients with respect to engineering/administrative controls and personal protective equipment.
