Asbestos Laboratory Services

ALTEC operates an asbestos laboratory that is accredited by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's LELAP program. All analysts participate in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program. ALTEC is accredited to perform the following asbestos analysis:

  • Asbestos Bulk Sample Analysis using polarized light microscopy (PLM)
  • Asbestos Air Sample Analysis using phase contrast microscopy (PCM)
